Note: I am using a Serpent 25 mm with a single coil deck, which is an extremely stable platform at the moment, and using spaced 4 mm Authentic MKWS 316L Stainless Steel Ribbon Wire for RBA Atomizers. The coil has been in my atomizer since I purchased the atomizer.

Same coil has been in use since Aug. 2016. I did a low temperature dry burn to clean it a few times. Yes it has been in daily use In TC.

I wonder if the two coils you rapped were identical? This mod might be picky in TC.

Just adding my spaced coil resistance is .29 ohms PWR 46 watts. Resistance locked with NOOOOO preheat! You don't need it with flat wire anyways!!!!!

The SMM is far easier to coil with flat wire, but it has a smaller capacity.

Thanks for the info Mitch, I think I have the serpent mini and serpent25? I never use them anymore I think it the metal drip tips turned me offf and restricted airflow they were both good at the time I had never used a dropper and was always looking for more airflow, anyway all I remember about the serpent 25 was leaking under the deck all the time and I could never figure out y, but I did like it’s shape and weight.

Anyway are you suggesting that my SS wire could be inferior quality? And that could be the reason it’s not working I do feel my coils are equal in size and spacing. I may just try a new reload I bought 5 if them lol

Yea I changed the drip tip to a simple delrin one the second I opened the package of the Serpent mini 25. I have never had a leaking problem with it at all. I hope you figure it out.

If I remember correctly I had to do a counter clock wise rap with the coil and then bend the wire leads 90 degrees on the winding mandrel to use flat wire on the serpent 25. Its been almost a year and a half since I wound it!!!!

Good luck to All of you in this new year!

Ohh! The last time I wicked the Serpent mini 25 which I did yesterday, I poked something through the middle of the coil to get better cotton contact with the coil. It is working perfectly!

It is a bit tricky to get a 4 mm coil working the way I want it to work, but I have it figured out.

I guess you don't realize I just went 6 months without rewicking my coil without any performance drop in Temperature Control?
