Mod Getting HOT Over 40W
Hello everyone,

I have a question for people who already bought this MOD. Does it get hot when you vape Above 40w. Because mine get hot when I vape in a range between 40 and 50W.
I have used it with Krma rda(clone) and wasp nano. But it get hot, the mod itself and the Rda's (the rda's get extermely hot).

Also I'm using NEW samsung 30Q originals bought especially for this mod.
Coil used is Geekvape premade N80 fused clapton (28gax3 + 36ga): Five wraps 0.34ohm

Waiting for you help folks.

Thank you in advance.

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious. But, a triple core clapton has one major downfall and that's MASS. Requires higher power levels to overcome and retains that heat energy longer.

Couple that to a low profile, reduced chamber rda, with (at best) a restricted DL style of airflow like the Krma and...

Most definitely it'll transfer alot of that residual heat to the deck, top cap and mod.

Battlestar 200W + Dvarw MTL + SS316L + Muji + 0.80ohms = MTL Perfection

Thanks for your statements. I'm new to vaping and did not know that's because of the rda style and coil size because I was using thos rdas before with a Gbox sq. With no heat problem. Probably I need to change the rda's for this mod or at least the coils. Whats' your suggestions please.

Try it with the wasp with a single round 26 ni80, id 3-3.5, 5 or 6 wraps at around 0.8 ohm at 35w. Won't get hot, good flavor and more clouds than you expected.

I liked SS ribbon wire in the Wasp Nano because of the long AF slots. Don't have the Krma, but I'd think a simple spaced coil of 26g SS would do the trick. Perhaps a 6 wrap, 2.5 or 3mm ID, approx 0.5 ohms. Hitting it about 20-25 watts is nice...

I think Airwinny likes his Krma rda, maybe he can share his favorite build with you!

Thank you so much folks for your answers. So no exotic coils with small chamber rda and small mod as I understand. But I think simple coils from 20 to 35w will not produce that much of a vapor. I'm used to the fused clapton tricore. I want to know if a two core like framed staple will make me avoid that heating problem.

For the above type of coils that you suggested. Can you provide me with the SKU... Please.

I haven't used flaptons or fraliens in years. Yet I can produce enough vapor to choke a horse. Lol

I'm on my mobile, so I'll have to link some SKU's later...

I use simply SS round wire, 26 ga, 3mm diameter coils, at around 0.7-0.75. Works perfect for me anywhere between 25-30W.

The Wasp has quite a bit more airflow, it really shouldn't get all that hot at 40-50W, even with humongous clapton-alien-whatevers.
But, 3abdel, you really don't need them in such small RDAs. I don't get significantly more clouds with a Clapton coil at 50W than I do with a simple round wire coil at 25-30W, and flavor-wise there's really no difference at all.
On a single battery mod, these fancy coils are really overkill and will just make you go through batteries like crazy

Well said. I have 3 spools of clapton wire and a couple of other spools of 32, 34, 36 to make my own but at the end nothing beats a single/dual 26 or 24 wire. For every clapton i use, i probably use 10 normal coils.
