At this point it's the fear of being spied on like the US already does...

AMEN! I say we round up all chinks and burn their asses at our brand new border wall, soon as it's built.

This way, those damn brown mexicans might get the idea that they shouldn't use chinese telephones.

I only use my trusty AT&T phone, duly made by ZTE, an amurican establishment.

I bet the US government has a 45 page report for every time I took a shit in the last 50 years.

They know how many liters of air I breathed too ... To a gnat's ass.

Huawei faces ban in Europe as well

You said they would be a myth.....company still exists and will continue to. Europe and the us are only a small percentage of their market. Aisa is huge. Let's see if the European ban actually comes to fruition!

the main delusion in this is the flawed concept that US law has writ outside the US, it doesn't, they can bribe threaten and cajole compliant states to hand people over but the days of imperial edict are over.

Maybe it's flawed but there's no better concept I'm aware of.

Every country requires companies to follow their laws if they wish to sell in that country. If US law says you can't sell to Iran because Americans are religiously bigoted towards Persian rugs, you can't sell to Iran and sell to the US. When in Rome.

using standard, I'll just repeat that STANDARD methods employed by all corporations ie- industrial espionage(a far from new concept) a foreign competitor produces a cheaper/better product and the US gets it's panties in a twist...how the mighty have fallen.

Historically similar charges have been leveled at Germany, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong etc etc etc...usually accompanied by the 'they can't invent they only copy' line of bullshit.

I take your point gph but as far as I'm aware Canada isn't a US state yet.
