Ever seen a TF card based RAID with parity?
These novelty devices are basically stripe set controllers (RAID level 0) which is DULL.

What I'd like to finally see on sale is distributed parity so fragile gadget turns into really fault tolerant storage device.
Panasonic or Samsung - that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer.

Why? There is nothing special about implementing that on board. Hell, I even had El Cheapo brand PCI card with hardware RAID 5 capability.
