An OK little torch, but I think there are better available at similar prices. Very light in the hand. Doesn't give as much light on AA as it could and 14500 doesn't have much of an improvement. Gifted to neighbour who loves it.

PROS
Nice color
CONS
Feels a little cheap Would have preferred 3-mode instead of 5
Overall I like this light and it has made it's way into my bedside table. I don't like the strobe modes, but can live with them. The finish is a nice color, but it feels a little cheap. Overall its a nice light.

PROS
Descent output Built-in clip Small size Runs on 14500 or AA batteries Overly sensitive switch (when changing modes)
CONS
Heats up quickly when on high (using 14500) Noticeable noise in all modes Feels cheap
Maybe I'm spoiled by the other lights I've purchased from Fasttech, but I expected more from this one. The light output is ok, but I was hoping for more when running on 14500 batteries. The lowest mode is nice and low (some flashlights I own, don't go very low), but it just isn't very bright on high. The quality seems a bit cheap, but for ±$10, I guess that's to be expected. The things that bother me the most are the fact that it's noisy and that it heats up quickly on high (when using 14500 battery).
I probably wouldn't buy another one of these, I'd probably look for something else (even if it was more expensive) that could run in a 14500.

PROS
Deep carry pocket clip Square cut threads on head and tail cap Very nice overall fit and finish Compact size Ability to run on Li-ion/NiMh/Alkaline batteries Memory function is quite nice Tail stands great GITD O-rings and switch boot
CONS
Not going to "Wow" anyone with output (although it is acceptable in my book) dated emitter (XP-E Q5) Not a "real" low mode
A nice light for the money. I ordered this light for the "pro's" I've listed above and it has delivered on all of them. My only complaint with the light is its not as bright as other AA sized lights out there. 230 lumen is a bit of an overstatement... Not that I really thought it would do that OTF, but I was hoping for a little bit more. I would still recommend it if your looking for something in this size on a budget that doesn't skimp on overall quality.
