PROS
Bright Long Run-time
CONS
stupid strobe (why?) Headband attachment breaks easily not very comfortable
I've been using this almost daily for the past 2 weeks to do work in my attic. I like how bright it is and how long it lasts on 2x 18650 cells (I use the low mode almost exclusively). Unfortunately, the plastic piece that attaches the headband to the rear battery pack assembly broke (it's just cheap, weak plastic). I'll have to see if I can figure out a way to fix it.

PROS
Nice combination of flood and throw Very bright Nice build quality 2 modes, you don't have to deal with the 'blinkies' Good price
CONS
It would be nice if it was brighter (but isn't that true of all flashlights?)
I have several C8's (Tangsfire, Ultrafire, etc) and this Convoy is my favorite. I did a comparison of all my C8's (all with the same battery) and the Convoy was the one I kept coming back to. It's definitely the one I prefer. It has a nice 'floody' beam, yet throws very well. It also has a nice user interface (I love not having to deal with the blinking modes). I've been thinking about nice flashlights to give to friends and family and this is currently at the top of my list. It's slightly more expensive than my other C8's, but definitely worth the extra few dollars.

PROS
Descent output Built-in clip Small size Runs on 14500 or AA batteries Overly sensitive switch (when changing modes)
CONS
Heats up quickly when on high (using 14500) Noticeable noise in all modes Feels cheap
Maybe I'm spoiled by the other lights I've purchased from Fasttech, but I expected more from this one. The light output is ok, but I was hoping for more when running on 14500 batteries. The lowest mode is nice and low (some flashlights I own, don't go very low), but it just isn't very bright on high. The quality seems a bit cheap, but for ±$10, I guess that's to be expected. The things that bother me the most are the fact that it's noisy and that it heats up quickly on high (when using 14500 battery). I probably wouldn't buy another one of these, I'd probably look for something else (even if it was more expensive) that could run in a 14500.

PROS
Side click Great finish Descent output Quality feel and look
CONS
Could be brighter More modes would be nice (no flashy modes)
I knew, when I ordered this, that it wouldn't have the highest output of competing 18650 flashlights, but I bought it because it looked like a high quality flashlight. I wasn't disappointed. The fit and finish is excellent. I love the side-click (I prefer it to a tail click). The output is perfectly acceptable. If it had a bit higher of an output and more modes (less flashy modes), it would be almost perfect. I'm actually thinking about buying another one (I gave the first one to my wife, who loves it).
