I always soak Kanger coils in Vodka overnight, then let them dry for another day. I do this even if I recoil them. I don't trust any of the crap that may be on the wires or wicks. Ever since I've done this I've never had a nasty tasting coil. Although running 1.5 to 1.8 ohm coils above 3.8 volts tends to make them taste burnt.

My wild guess:

Bad connection, istick reads resistance higher and fires many volts at the poor coils
Using "regulation" as poorly disguised prohibition is criminal. Vaping is not smoking, reduces harm and saves lives.

You could do that but I really don't think it would get as clean as soaking in Vodka, but that would be better than nothing. You could also boil them in water for about ten minutes. Not a rumbling boil, just very hot water.

I use 60 pg, 35 vg, 5 aroma. Liquid is not thick at all, it is more like usual water.

I do the same as fucitol except I use Rum instead of Vodka at the very beginning. Never at any issues with any of them at 80% vg, nic and flavor. Cannot understand on why this has happened to you? A bad batch perhaps?
So poor that I'm using paperclips for coils, strips of cotton jeans for wicks and coupons: MAP, BLF, DEALS & Event Discounts! But, I'm feeling much better now! LOL + No one should have 0 Kudos

I didnt do any preparations like soaking in vodka etc. I just screw new coil, then leave it for a several hours in EVOD2 filled with juice, then do 2 puffs without burning, after this start puffing at 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 watts.
I wanted to say that only 1 coil from a box worked ok. Other just burnt after a few puffs, despite the fact that I have PG dominating juice and even on 3-4 watts. It is not acceptable, since cost of them is not 0.01 usd per each.
I dont know if FT has a batch of old-burnt-doggy-defect (whatever) coils, I was sharing my bad experience.
I had no isses when buying in local stores, but local stores offer much higher price (around 15 usd per box).

That really should not have a problem in these coils ... I can only think you got a bad lot ... it sucks but I can not think what else it could be

You could open a ticket and try the CS runaround ... you may get something back

Other to that re-coil them yourself, its tricky (if you have fat hands) but it can be done and you will never buy more stock coils once you get it right
