Replace cover and align slit as you would for the screw, now push the feet end of the wire into the screw hole as far as possible, the thread will hold the wire firmly. Bend outer wire upwards to fill the slit and it will protrude sufficiantly to hold the cover from spinning around.
The wire is never removed, the cover slides on and off with ease but holds firm to allow screwing into mini tank base without cover spinning. Et voila.
This method is better than originally designed as there is no need to screw/unscrew ever again.
