As for me, I’m only familiar with Muji and I’m pretty happy with it, but I wonder if there’s anything better around… Working...

(£5 for 140 : 60x50 sheets - that inc's postage - UK online muji shop.) Muji seems to need less if any of a break in time where as Koh tastes a bit odd the 1st few rounds of puffing. Also Muji is thicker making it more suitable for larger coils and easy to remove layers if you like 2ml or less. To sum up though, any organic unbleached cotton is good especially when the fibres run in the same direction.. :P I have yet to try Puff. Stick with muji although for the price here it may be worth quenching your curiosity... although if you have a nearby B&M go in and ask them for a pad of koh gen doh to try out :) Edited on 10/6/2015 at 8:16 AM. Haven't used Koh Gen Do so I can't compare the two. However I haven't felt any need to change, and I still have most of a bag of Muji left. lol Working...

But my preferred brand is "Shiseido Facial Cotton" (it is made in Japan) I bought from my local pharmacy. It is very common and is sold widely in most pharmacies and beauty supply stores. In characteristics, absorbency and density, as good as any of other Japanese cottons, if not better. It is also clean and without all the little junk you find in the typical Japanese cottons. There's absolutely no aftertaste, no cotton or chemical favors and you get a couple of years worth of pads in a CDN$12 ($10 USD) package. Try it. it is worth the money many times over. Working...

DanTo Verified JoinedJan 2014 Posts 1026 Reviews 225 Kudos795	My observations about KGD and Muji: KGD is "finer" (thiner fibers?). When wet, it's noticeably more transparent than Muji. Wicks slightly (very sligthly) better, but gunks up quicker. This forces me to dry burn sooner then expected (otherwise I dry burn because of the gunking of the coil; usually once a day or in a day and a half). About three (long) puffs difference in the initial "break-in" period between the two in favor of KGD (like in 3 vs 6), but I've grown to like the taste of fresh cotton. :) If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Muji.
