So essentially the equivalent of 30/31g round wire with 34g wrapped around it with huge surface area? Sounds like something I may actually be able to use without pumping a stupid amount of watts into.

Nope, the core is 0.5 x 0.1 ribbon wire

C'mon UD, where are the SS fused Claptons? Or hybrids With SS inner and kanthal outer?

Yeah, this one is probably clapton wire as other fasttech "alien" wires.
