I know that this thing isn't supposed to last forever, but I did expect more than 4-5 months. It peels literally everywhere, most noticeably on the back cover. I keep it in my pocket, never dropped down, never bumped around. Really, just a normal wear and tear, but in 4 moths (out of which 1 was used with the silicone sleeve, that started falling off btw) ?At this point I guess I am more concerned if there is any kind of lead involved (remember that SS (mostly)? This DOES NOT look like stainless steel. Should I complain to FT and Joytech? Here are the pics, tell me what you think please. And here is the order date
I think your pockets are too tight.

It's zinc alloy.Edit: BTW I have a black evic which did the same as yours but took a year to do so.I also have the Pearl white and the paint on that one has held up much better. If you decide to repaint the mod it will be difficult as zinc does not like many acrylic paints, will never dry hard.Need a zinc based primer and or paint, epoxy paints should also work.
Sand it off and paint it.
Zinc really hard to paint with regular acrylic spray paint as it will saponify.Info in previous post on what to use. 😋

Not sure if you are serious? But oil based paints just don't work, even acrylic primers won't work.I know I've tried.A good epoxy paint would work fine.Edit: I don't know of any durable water based paints, for metal.
