Molchi Verified JoinedNov 2017 Posts 67 Reviews 108 Kudos36	I wouldn't suggest these, since the outer wire is relatively thick for low-wattage mtl. Just enter Vandyvape mtl clapton or mtl fused clapton (i prefer the "normal" ones,)and you will find them in all wire materials. With the Ares the problem is that since the wireintakes are not centered, you would need to install most of them "hanging" which would bring them too close to the airflow i think. If you insist on fused claptons, either the Vandy Vape coils or these SKU 9653071 from Coilology would be a much better choice. Working...

essellar Verified JoinedSep 2016 Posts 2311 Reviews 0 Kudos2029	I've never found a good use for claptons in an MTL RTA, though I use them in restricted DL atties in the 25-35W range quite a bit. Round wire works perfectly well. Ribbon wire works well too, and gives you better performance at lower power, with the downside being that 0.1mm-thick ribbon is extremely difficult to re-wick. Claptons are a good way to spend more money, and that's about it at MTL power levels. Working...

Molchi Verified JoinedNov 2017 Posts 67 Reviews 108 Kudos36	What essellar said is not wrong, since claptons need more power i am always on the boarder of burning the cotton, since i vape tight mtl, where i barely have enough air to cool them down. I also use simple 26g or 28g Ni80 in some mtl rta's and there is not that much difference to mtl-claptons. Maybe you should try one of the 2 premade coils which are included in the Ares to see if thats ok for you. The mentioned XFKM coils look nice, and the company itself makes nice coils, but they have the same problem as the Vandyvape coils, they are wicked the wrong way since you would need them wicked in the opposite direction cause of Innokins weird screw-placements.
