Don't expect high quality from Joyleafmec
Once in a blue moon they knock it out the park, but it's too few times for my liking.
What they sometimes do is release v1.01 a month later with fixes to v1, but obviously market it as a 'shiny new experience!'

I’m guessing you’ve already tried this, but when mine does this I pull the cover fully away from the hinge, push up, then slide in. Do you still have the little tabs on the bottom cover? Maybe yours have broken?

Mine has been fine, odd though that no one has produce a silicon protective cover for these, seems that would solve this problem.

you can take off the one screw drill hole thru cover put screw back. then you would allways have to remove the screw to charge or charge with cable. its really small so it was worth the efforr

This fault started on mine exactly 2 weeks after getting it. It’s the perfect size for me and I’m really disappointed. I’m hoping for a V2, I’d buy another if this fault was sorted. In the mean time I guess I’ll try the ‘drill & screw’ fix suggested by Blue Vape (thanks 👍) I use LG and FOGSTAR 18650’s, maybe I’ll buy a couple of Sony batteries before I drill. UPDATE: I bought Sony batteries which made no difference. The battery door still pops open. I guess some get lucky and have no problems while other fall from the unlucky tree. Unfortunately mine falls into the latter category.
Edited on 9/4/2018 at 7:53 AM. Reason: Tried Sony 18650’s
