Unlikely it will stay in place even with finger-tight torque.

However I like the general idea. They have to implement it properly, tho. I'm thinking about brass or better copper to act as heat sink as well.

@pewpew : you're wrong, it remains perfectly in place thanks to the O-rings and you can even unscrew the atomizer without removing the adapter.
