Although I don't do AIOs, my chosen coil-build across all attys is 1.2 ohms Kanthal, and I put 6 volts (30 watts) through it. :-)

That was very rough.

Checked today some FT AIOs descriptions.
The better results are: "Output Voltage" up to 8V.
When you are an AIO specialist, you should see this.
And 1 Ohm for a nice MTL vape?

The main problem is, unless you're running an MTL build, you won't ever get 4V even with a full battery. Battery sag and voltage drop will take its toll of the voltage before it gets to the 510 - whatever BB you use, it will have boost circuitry so it will provide 4V (or higher) until the battery cuts out - this simply won't.

Sure, you can build lower or use SS or Ni80 but I suspect the real reason they axed the boost circuitry was make an extra 10c on each mod and to sell more stock coils as this is seriously flawed as a rebuildable device.

Same I wrote in post #17:

That perhaps means, companies try to hold the power stress low,
to use cheaper parts in the mod.
And/or the companies say: starters use this mod, better no booster.


I asked some days ago, which mods NYC boys use to produce the very big clouds?
I was thinking about the heavy use quality of mods with such a high current.

yeah i run anywhere from 0.5 to 1 ohms myself and at your 1.2 its only popping out 17.6w u can go cheap or really cheap on components "gj" vandyvape ;)

Rough? I don’t see where. What I tried to say is that this mod, even with its limitations will suit a certain category of users. If the company decided not to put a boost circuit in it and cut the cost that is their decision and since it’s not the first mod they made, I guess it’s a well-thought one. If this mod doesn’t satisfy someone's needs there are 2 options: or try to make it work by modifying your build or don’t buy it. If I need a car that can reach 220mph I won’t buy one that has a 120 mph limit. This is a medium cost aio mod for a certain category. Knowing its limitations, I could buy this for when I'm at work but I understand that it doesn't suit everyone. Hope this wasn’t too rough.
