Also mine has a volt limit of 7 so maybe newer batches have had a firmware update...

Indeed, perhaps Yihi have tweaked the chip. Still nowhere near the 9.5-volts on the original, but a step in the right direction if true.

Thanks for the update. 🙂

It's twelve inches long, but don't use it as a rule...

I didn't buy from fasttech as I wanted the black tang which isn't available so ended up paying 9 pounds more to purchase from a UK vape website

I too got the black tang, from my local (85.00). Well built, a bit heavy but sturdy, and almost identical in feel and operation to V1. Nice addition to a collection, totally vapeable and pretty easy to navigate it's limited features. And no, no one who's vaping commonly bought wires will notice any lack of voltage. Classy and decently priced for the above average quality.

? Don't get you. Maybe go back and read the thread...voltage limitation was a concern for some users.

You should know by now that anyone who uses Kanthal is just doing it to be awkward, and no vaper, ever, in the history of the world has ever needed more than 4 Volts.

Carrion has been preaching this, and similar messages for so long, that it appears he has forgotten there is such a thing as individual preference.

Instead of getting irritated, have a good laugh about all the MTL devices he buys that he doesn't understand or use so he can give advice to others - some of his tips are comedy classics. I can't make my mind up whether him telling a long term MTL vaper that he was just being awkward for using 1.8 Ohm builds was the funniest, or his advice that specific airflow restriction for MTL isn't really necessary if you can train yourself to 'sip or gulp' when inhaling. Both had me in stitches - with a bit of luck he'll post a few pics of hundreds of MTL atties so we can be jealous of his knowledge, but he's going to have to give them a really good dusting off first.

Is that a C4W classic? Why would anyone use a wire to be awkward? Who cares what wire someone uses that much? I use Kanthal, I like it. I am pro some resistance, Ni80 has nickle, SS I like OK, but just kind of did not like switching around from that to Kanthal for certain old mods that would not lock the resistance.

It's more of a combination of Carrion classics - some from post 24 on this thread (most of what followed was subsequently deleted, but what survives is worth snickering at), another from an older thread where Carrion put some guy straight by informing him that his preferred 1.8 Ohm build wasn't normal and 4 volts output should be sufficient for anyone if they didn't build higher to be awkward.

It's Carrion's parochial attitude to vaping I find entertaining - if you don't share his preferences, agree with his opinions he will invariably claim you are either displaying an acute lack of knowledge or deliberately being awkward. It used to irritate me, but recently I've found him an unintentional source of Alan Partridge style comedy.

yeah he is kind of a meme tbh

He has a little catch phrase now have you seen it. It's his new thing, I guess.

"Absolute Vape, Vape Absolutely!"

It is pretty cringe, but, wait sorry it is absolute cringe, but it's kind of funny that he's back with a new catch phrase. It really doesn't matter though what is one more troll here honestly.

I did notice it in the recent Sherman V3 glass thread and must admit did throw up in my mouth a little, but the vape scene has always had a certain air of geekiness to it I suppose, so maybe some like that sort of thing?

What I did notice was in the thread he recommended a suitable replacement (good) and advised the guy check out the "hidden" vape porn thread to see pics of it, instead of telling him to check it out in the Vapers Forum where it resides for anyone to see (not so good). I think he clearly knows the difference between a hidden dead thread and a current thread that has been relocated but is still wound up about it not getting sticky status and having a token whinge. On this thread I get the impression he deliberately tried to needle Analogue and resurrect an old argument so it looks like he may be getting back into his old habits.

It could be a coincidence, or someone warming up to be an absolute ***/*** absolutely. Who knows?
