@Anniepan - Why don't FT stock the new retro gaming handhelds?
Retro gaming handhelds have become super popular recently, there are so many available. I wonder if there's a good reason that FT don't stock them?

some currently available ones.

I still own two working Dingoo A-380 that almost nobody wanted to support so I had to port most of the Dingux games and emus my self. Not an easy task if you aren't a developer. I did get some help from a developer and we managed to get our own custom firmware for the Dingoo A-380.

A video made by my friend RetroDD. You can find more videos on his channel.

Unfortunately this device was discontinued very quick. It might even have been discontinued before we got the custom firmware.

@AlienGrey I remember you from the dingoonity boards back in the day. I've still got a working dingoo a320 which I can't bring myself to get rid of either!

You did well with that a380 firmware, it seems to run quite well too!

They did something similar with the Coolboy RS-97 and Open-Dingux. I was going to order one from FT some day but they are gone. :(

It would be cool to have an upgraded gaming handheld with Open-Dingux. I still have all the source codes from the emus and games I ported to the Dingoo A-380 on my old laptop. I haven't touched it for many years.

I own a GPD Win and a GPD Win 2 so I don't need anything else for retro gaming but it would be nice to have an upgrade for my Dingoo A-380 that does support Open-Dingux. The goal was to port Open-Dingux to the Dingoo A-380 but we failed. Or maybe I should say I failed because I don't know if he did make it to run Open-Dingux on the Dingoo A-380. :D

Yep the RS-97 runs RetroFW now which is a very impressive OS. For some reason the RS-97 URLs on FT now link to a crappy Famiclone console, not sure why they would have done that.

There is a very active discord server for all of these new machines and the development of their software. If you're interested in joining let me know, or look for the link on the dingoonity boards.

I already ordered a RS-97 Plus from somewhere else. :D

I was going to order a LDK but it looks like they downgraded the CPU and some say that the build quality isn't as good as the RS-97 Plus.

I still have my 2 psp's. Both jailbroke with every emulator possible. The only "hard to play" emulator due to the psp controllers/buttons, is n64.

Just need to finish soldering a new battery to one of them... all the oem and knockoff batteries avaliable are old ass stock and have "dead" aged batteries.

Hello mammoth,

I have forwarded your "Retro gaming handhelds" request to our product department for processing. If the item is readily available, we will attempt to negotiate and list the suggested products between a few days to 2 weeks. Because we need to make sure we will list the authentic gaming handhelds.

Thank you for your recommendation.

And the fact that Daedalus is very limited in the games you can run, we just got an update to it afew months back but it’s still very limited, but before the update the only game that ran properly was super Mario 64 but since the latest update you can actually run games like majoras mask and orcarina of time with the sound enabled.
