When you are @ imgur, Sign In or Register.

Note: you can also be non logged to be able to upload, but it's always better to own an account.

Anyways, when you're here, simply upload your photos by pressing the blue button titled 'upload images'. When the download is complete, imgur gives you direct access to the URL of your photo. When you want to post on FastTech, or elsewhere, just copy and paste the URL in question, by using the img tags (second icon starting from the right in the FastTech editor).

In exactly the same way as you did with the images from nozamA.

Nb: i hope this will help you, and if yes, so you'll be able to show to your daughter that now you control the situation @ imgur.

I have an account at imgur, and know how to post pics in the forums from there, but I don't know how to upload them to imgur, or even how/where to put them in my computer. The only way I'll learn is have someone sit next to me and give me step by step instructions.

Thanks for trying to help though. :)

Upload Images to a Computer

Example:

& as you're already an Imgurian,
the 2 main easiest ways for to upload on imgur:

1. Use the upload icon, as said above.

Once opened, the uploader looks like this:

2. Drag and drop any image to the front page.

Imgur is crap - use postimage.org. it takes zero effort, doesn't require tedious registration and downloading of apps, and works on any device with Internet access.

Compared to postimage.org, i have never seen imgur down.

& unlike many others (like your fav or photobucket), imgur does not remove unexpectedly the images after a certain time, without notifying their customers. After, this is a matter of taste, but as the OP is already an imgurian...

As for the registration, i really do not see what is tedious @ imgur, more than elsewhere. Besides, it's not mandatory.

Do what you want, i personally don't care loL,
i have simply tried to help about something that seems so simple.

Anyways, back to the topic. I'm out.

@ airbagz
Or alternatively just install 'imgur uploader' then all thats needed is a right click on your desired image which then automatically uploads straight to imgur.
Dont feel bad about having your daughter teach you 'computer stuff' either just remind her you taught her how to use a spoon ;-)

I've used Photobucket for years now and it satisfies all my needs, thousands of images (I do a bit of photography) and not a problem.
My storage space has just gone from 2% to 3% full but then I resize the image with PaintShopPro or Photoshop Elements before uploading ~ 600 - 800 pixels width and 100k filesize uploads easily and doesn't slow web pages when loading.
I find that that is enough for good resolution when browsing.
