Money Talks.

You'd think so, but given some of the trends in new stuff they're carrying I'm curious as to who the hell is buying... lol

Just for grins I checked to see what my options are in the States for a knife right now... for a $23 Ganzo (I want the orange G720 monstrosity lol) it's either $21 for 4-9 days shipping or free USPS first class at 8-14 days , which translates to two or three weeks realistically. So yeah, for the US it doesn't seem to have changed a terrible amount and I can live with the free shipping option just fine, but those were the ONLY two options. I think I remember there used to be more when I ordered my knives.

8-14 days for free would be sweet for me, it usually took that long with all my previous free orders anyway.

Have used Free China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong Post previously, used to be able to choose from around 8 different methods.

Just gives me EMS now, for anything sharp and pointy. Boo.

I think the free one for me was USPS via Hong Kong post. All the other "normal" free options were grayed out.

I figured it was because of some kind of shipping regulations, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense if other companies in China are still using the other options. Plus I think on all of my other knives they put "Electronic equipment" or something on the package. lol I don't think they labeled them as knives in any case. Maybe they got in trouble for it so knives are blacklisted for them? I dunno... doesn't make a lot of sense otherwise.

Those knives could cut their way out of the packaging, sneak through the cargo hold, and hijack the plane.

You're lucky, at least you can buy knives on [removed]. They banned them in the UK portal. You can buy a tactical tomahawk, but not a leatherman with a blade on it. Go figure.

Strange that the mods remove the names of "competitors" in this case FastTech have removed themselves from the "competition" completely.
Shipping of around $23 for anything knifey to the U.K. can't be called competition.

I'm fairly sure I just wrote gb, if we can't get away with that we'll have to get clever.

FT pitch postage/item prices where they think they can, if items don't sell they come down or disappear, if postage is too much--jog on.

Maybe the higher p+p for knives is a higher percentage of those parcels are intercepted---have you been ordering illegal in your country items???? so they have to cover themselves by spreading loses around in p+p costs.
Or maybe the shipper just screws FT on the deal and just as FT 'pass on the savings' in this case they 'pass on the butthurt' to knife shoppers---
fair enough don't see why vapers should pay higher to subsidise replacing knife shoppers confiscated parcels.
