UK ban on 'zombie killing' knives
Is this covert admittance by the British government that zombies exist? Hang onto your blood splattered Zombie green mods and atties folks, because they're clearly next. Joking aside, I kinda get it, but how does one legislate against knives and swords whose express purpose is killing zombies?

Why anyone would even want one is beyond my ken, but is legislation now based on taste and popular culture? What about any sword? After all, they're specifically designed for killing people. No one can argue that they own a diasho of Hanwei Practical Plus blades for use as letter openers. Ergo is my own collection of mostly Hanwei/Paul Chen far eastern swords OK purely because they're not Zombie green? Maybe it's the sawbacks as stated in the article? In that case, can I expect my aitor Jungle King, Gerber gator machete, and Uzi fixed blade to be confiscated? Methinks we can expect to see legislation in the UK against knives that look 'nasty'. Fortunately some of the best tactical blades look kinda goofy, so I guess a Massad Ayoob knife designed with the express intent of ruining someone's day, is fine because it isn't Zombie green?

Anyhoo, if you're in the UK, it's time to stock up on badly made, <420, sub Kit Rae bullshit before they're banned. Good riddance I say (though the SOG Zombie line is not bad, if utterly vulgar and obnoxious). Funnily enough, I just ordered the zombie green Böker Magnum Mini folder. Is that going to legislated against based on colour (that's racialismamist!) despite the fact that I only bought it so it's easy to find in the bottom of my bag, where as my beloved Spyderco Meercat tends to get lost in the sea of black that is my day-to-day existence.

Just as an aside, knivesandtools.co.UK have the Kershaw 1930ST assest assisted folder for twenty quid right now. I also ordered one of them, but if it's half as good as my EDC Needs Work, then it'll be a spectacular bargain.

Buy a tactical tomhawk then. The United Cutlery M48 line is good if my war hammer walking stick is anything to go by, and I keep a Cold Steel Trench Hawk next to the door. Neither are hugely expensive, but will last a lot longer than the 5 minutes that black and green bullshit will. All sorts of makers have come up with new tacticool Hawks, but I didn't see any being much better than the two mentioned, which can be had for a lot less. The M48 even comes in Zombie green if you really must.

We are not restricted here yet on such items but they keep trying.. I can safely say I don't see myself owning a tactical throwing hatchet or these zombie items.. I like knifes and swords actually.. I have a couple of the new cold steel katanas with the abs handles I swing around.. So, so quality on them but cheap in terms of a working sword.. Had to work on them a little but I'm use to that from shopping here..
