The clones of the Serge Panchenko peanut knives from Fura give excellent quality and materials. They are about 2" blade and have a ball detente locking system making them pretty much the same as friction folder and slip joint I they close without freeing a lock first.
The detente is strong enough without being ridiculously difficult to open or close.
I have two of them now and they are enough for EDC purposes. Prices vary so look around, some sites have flash sales bringing the price down, I think I paid around $16 for one of mine.
SanRenMu have a massive range of U.K. legal knives, it all depends on the style you prefer. Rough Rider have a range of old styles if you prefer and the prices are a bargain considering the quality.

I would post links but FastTech don't approve of links to the competition. You could always buy from FT as they are pretty good in general but there are some very good sales on other sites with low, low prices.

Best UK legal knife? Hopefully has a rubber blade.

Can you actually import weapons to the UK?

RussG -
Yes.
You can import knives.
You can make a weapon out of many things.
I've been collecting and importing UK legal knives for years, I collect knives not weapons.

Hear what you are saying and it is true, a knife or any other weapon doesn't kill. The user does. I know a guy who collects vintage air rifles and of course shoots static targets, after all what is the point of a gun if you never shoot something. In that respect, knives are different.

Not doubting you are a responsible owner/collector.

The OP,?????

Knifes scare me,I have kids, a big issue in the UK. But of course any dickhead can carry a 9" kitchen knife.

RussG, it scares me as well, my knives are never sold, once I get them I keep them. I worry that if knives are outlawed completely then forks will quickly follow leaving us with only spoons to eat with.
