That's impressive, well done! I've been moderately underweight most of my adult life. But then my thyroid went from very hyper to ever so slightly hypo and I gained about 25 pounds I think before my brain and appetite caught on (a matter of months). I still carry around a good chunk of it.

I basically have shared custody of my best friend's dog, he's a husky and something or other mix and he fucking loves to walk, literally can't get enough of it. Don't know about getting my own, I'd like to have enough space for two and a yard they could run around in I think. Also, dogs are really nice, but fuck can they be annoying and stupid at times, too annoyingly stupid to take really.

I pretty much walk enough as is, that's kinda the problem actually, I'm at a point where walking (at least on relatively flat city terrain) is too easy (doesn't get my heart rate up beyond zone 3 or whatever). That's why I'm curious about running.

Try Speed walking and get some walking poles.

Find steps or walk up a hill.

I'm at about 7kph or 45 minutes on a 5k as is, which I assume is pretty much speed walking.

Find steps or walk up a hill.

Hate them both with a passion, but it does work though.

I do my running on a good quality sprung treadmill wearing Ultra boosts, I have done for years and will continue to do for years.

I want my knees and hips to last my lifetime without a need for replacement.

Add some poles for a full body workout.

I've had and used mine for years when walking.

Also I walk in parks or wooded trails as not so level for a better workout and has beautiful views.

Heres one park I frequent which has trails for different difficulties

As mentioned, great scenery.

Edit: The park also has trails for mountain biking.

Maybe you should try a bike instead of running?

Less stress on the joints.

I've always forced myself to go running, or do a few hours per week on one of those home-trainer bicycles or whatever, but it's all so boring.

Last year I bought something similar to this: SKU 9629000. In ads they make it look really cool:

But in reality, specially the first week, you look like an absolute idiot, like this guy:

However, it's so much fun to do. I find myself jumping through the house quite often, and it's a surprisingly addictive (silly) workout. My kids love it as well.
