We went to our son's home for Thanksgiving today. All our children were there along with their spouses and our eight grandchildren.

We do Thanksgiving here in Canada although ours is always a month earlier than the US. In our case that was on October 11th.

But here in Toronto the weather is still warm and like late summer but I think of the holiday best with either snow or at least colder weather.
We don't personally celebrate it nor have since parents/grandparents/etc passing unless we had young children.


The upside perhaps for the US is here right after Halloween, everyone stars putting up their Xmas decorations.
Ugh.
Growing up people didn't do that until about Dec 12-15th.

Guessing with Thanksgiving in the US not taking place until the last week in November, you might be spared the blinding Xmas scenes I see outside every 10th house in my area at least until December. 😛
