Well, in a way, OP IS being "current", as the first "real", "official" research on the mentioned Ivermectin has been released, and as most thought, it has no effect on the COVID virus, not reducing hospitalizations in a double blind study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
I don't re-visit that thread, so I don't know if it's still a debated topic, but this SHOULD put that nonsense to bed. Just a quick search into the history of this "hoax" clearly shows that the original study that got all this started was even denied by its' author, as he claims his original info was faulty.
Hopefully everyone learned a lesson - what affects one, can affect all. Teamwork makes a difference.

I watched Biden over the weekend at the Correspondent's dinner (which trump NEVER attended, due to "thin skin", i guess, as jokes at the President's expense are commonplace)...Biden made jokes (some good ones) and was very lively as a 78 year old man could be.
Alternately, I watch Trump also speak over the weekend, at an Ohio rally for JD Vance. Trump was there to support Vance, but could not remember his name, twice. Once even calling him another candidate! While I know he is even older, at 80, I feel Biden has just been the victim of salty Trump fans - as a direct comparison clearly shows who is more "aware".
I don't like either one, but at least we have someone the world's not laughing at. Most worldwide think Trump a buffon, a bully, and dim-witted...and while I support younger candidates in general, Biden is clearly smarter than trump, easily.
Sorry, just putting some perspective on commonly repeated rumors.
