Staff always asks for a video for to prove that something wrong. That's the first phase of the procedure with them. Which doesn't mean they want you to explode yourself or your battery, needn't to exaggerate, simply they are just not vapers and need some "palpable" proof. If there are some visible reasons why that mod shorts, enough to take some pics, they will accept it.
(...well, and usually, as a second step, they will want to offer you a couple of dollars, and if eventually you can sort out the problem, you're happy with a really cheap mech mod hehe. Unless you insist with a good reasoning why you want to send it back. Which is possible with them too.)
yep, gph's first post was a hair too radical. Generally: 1. even with an experienced mech user & "who knows very well what he/she's doing blablabla" can accidentally happen to make a short, (you can definitely better avoid a
hard short) even with your old stuff, you're very tired, you're in a hurry or anything else stupid, really not expected happens, and maybe you'll tell yourself that you were an idiot (and keep shut up, not letting everyone know it) but why to treat someone else with the "stupid" or "idiot" etc. adjectives w/o knowing what was really going on.
2. When you receive something new, in one way or an other but you have to find out if there's something wrong with the device.

It might serve to belay the bickering in this thread so the op can resolve the issue without the confusion.
I guess it's failed (again...)
