Speaking of those face masks they are apparently all sold out here in Toronto. Some people did buy a load but I hear are selling them online for up to 3x the regular price.
Seems a lot of buyers stocked up and are sending them home to China or HK.

Oddly enough, I wanted to buy a box of Nitrile gloves because we'd had a partial box come into the house which were great for food handling (I like to make tamales and it can be messy). I had been buying cheap ($0.99/$0.79) plastic gloves but they weren't near as nice as wearing these Nitrile gloves, so I went to Amazon just in the last month and purchased a box of pink Nitrile gloves, then saw some pink face masks and I bought a box of those too, and also pink hair nets.

It was good timing I suppose. Makes me feel a little more confident.

We're still pulling them out for handling food though. They're good for that.

Worldwide reports of iodine overdoses: WHO

The World Health Organisation (WHO) says it has received reports of people being admitted to poison centres around the world after taking iodine tablets.
Fears about harmful levels of radiation coming out of the damaged nuclear power plant in Fukishima has seen panic buying of iodine pills in many countries.
Iodine is thought to protect the body's thyroid and glandular system from radiation.
The French government has dispensed half a million tablets to its Pacific territories as a precautionary measure.
But WHO Western Pacific environmental officer, Steven Iddings, says there are already reports of overdoses in countries close to Japan.
"These would be from maybe frightened people who have self-medicated without the advice of a doctor," he said.
"This treatment is really meant for people who are close up, perhaps workers who are associated with the response in Japan."

Well, ain't that the way it goes. Fear sells innit? (British term)

I rarely get ill, or colds but damn, hit really hard this morning with one.

Pounding headache, runny nose, stuffed up.......but no, not corona virus.

Going to be a tough couple of days but think I might live. 🥺 😛

Same here, years since I had a cold. Today, onset of death flu symptoms appear:( Do I get sympathy? No. Forced to rise from my deathbed to go shopping, walk dogs and dispose of their garden mess, even to fix squeaking back door.

Didn't even get a cup of tea in bed:(

Sure does!!!!!

Aw, hope you do feel better soon MickD.

Well I did get breakfast made for me but he wont walk the puppy. Thats my domain.
Oskar hasn't yet bonded fully with him.
He's fine with him if the three of us are on a walk but he refuses to walk with Kevin alone.
He just sits down and refuses to move.

Working on his separation anxiety. He acts as if Kevin is trying to take him away from me so he wont budge.
He just wants to be with me all the time. I think Kev is feeling a bit put out . 😂

I do empathize with the dog runs when you are ill though. 😣

Just checked the listing from the face masks I bought:

Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
