Which 18650 for these mods ?
Hello,

I recently bought these 2 mods (my first mods) from Fasttech -

Authentic Smoktech SMOK Morph 219 219W TC VW APV Box Mod - SKU 9691805

and

Authentic DOVPO Topside Dual 200W TC VW APV Squonk Box Mod - SKU 9693818

they both use 18650 batteries.

I need to order some 18650 that will fit in size and be suitable for the mods. Please recommend some available FT 18650 that will be suitable, thank you for reading.

I did not order 18650 at the same time as the mods, as I have some 18650 batteries, it turns out they are too long to fit in the mods, so I need to buy some suitable ones.
The batteries that do not fit (if it helps someone else) are GTF Led flashlight expert 9800mAh (TR18650), and also not fitting are UltraFire CN18650 9800mAh.
I also tried both names of battery in a Smok Alien belonging to a family member, the batteries I have currently were too long for this mod also.
The batteries that do not fit were not purchased from Fasttech I have had them a while.

9800mAh? Wut?

Do the math, you need at least 30A discharge current to utilize 200W of power.

P = U × I
Umin = 3.4V
Umax = 4.2V

The answer to 1984 is 1973 § Panasonic or Samsung - that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer.

Judging from your post, You're new to high power mods...Forgive me if I'm wrong.
But under no circumstances should you use flashlight batteries in mods and never use UltraFire batteries if you can help it.

We all come here and other places in China for good quality mods at lower prices than our local stores, but batteries are one thing that should never be skimped on.
Insert smart and witty comment here.....

Molicel P26A is a good allround alternative.
Or any of the other ones in the "High Power" column below:

In case you already don't know, you need to marry/pair batteries that are intended to be used in multi-battery mods.
That means that they have to be used together from the beginning, and throughout their lifetime.

As soon as you get your batteries, it's a good idea to label the battery sets so that you know which batteries are "married" to each other.

For more detailed explanations concerning marrying batteries I suggest you watch the YouTube clips from John "Mooch" Muchow on that topic. See below.

Having battery cells shipped from China is somewhat complicated.
There are very few shipping agents who are willing to ship them, and the shipping delays for those are usually much longer than for other types of shipments.

Also, it's a good idea to buy your Li-ion batteries from trusted specialized battery vendors as they have the resources to test that batteries coming from wholesalers are conforming with the manufacturer's specifications.
There is a huge amount of counterfeit and fake batteries floating around.

Judging by your choice of charger you appear to be in the UK.
If that is the case you're lucky because the is a range of specialized battery vendors there. And the prices are often lower than here.
But the main advantage is the considerably faster shipping.

Just to name the most known ones: 18650, ecoluxshopdirect, fogstar.

An other good thing to know is that the coupon code BLF gives a 5% discount when applied to things like batteries, chargers and flashlights.
