It's a chore to change the cotton. Everything about maintenance is a chore.

Explain. Why is it a chore for you? Are you elderly or disabled? Or is it that your RTAs are just very particular in how they are wicked? Or are you just THAT lazy?

Regardless, one thing you can do to reduce the amount of times you have to rewick and even recoil is to vape juices with less color and sweetener. The closer to unsweetened and zero color you can get, the longer you can go without changing wicks and coils.

Coils are one thing, but cotton? Jeezy I thought I was lazy, my dab coil hasn't been changed in over 2 years

I notice that if I don't change the cotton for a good while, it's impossible to remove it without damaging the coil. The gunk prevents pulling it out without a lot of snipping and fiddling to remove the old wick.

I use only vg/pg (24% nic), no flavors, so the build lasts for a very long time. I usually just replace both the coil and wick. This works for me because I only use plain cheap pre-made coils, not exotic works of art.

I reckon I'm both lazy and impatient. :)

I find that snipping one side of the wick off solves that problem. Need decent scissors for it because wet cotton is somewhat tough. Remaining wick just slides right out.

Or just dryburn the coil with the cotton in it. Wick will burn and you won't have any problems getting it out. Dry burn and clean the coil afterwards properly to remove the rest of the wick.
But i wonder why i even posted this since this thread is not really a serious thread.

I think some people assuming that WackyHarry has not changed his wick for 5 years.

I don't believe that's what he's saying. But if I'm wrong, that's pretty fooking lazy for sure XD. In that case, cigarettes are a better option.

Just buy packaged coils.
Some people just cant be bothered. My partner has only stayed with the Nautilus 1.8ohm coils since 2014.

No interest in spending any time whatsoever on anything beyond putting the coil in and juicing it.
