A old trick us handymen types use is to use short lengths of toothpicks (or wood slivers), insert them inside the screw holes, put it together, and screw it down. If done right, the screws will bite into the wood, filling the hole and making it tight upon assembly.

Stiil, you need a new mod, so buy a really expensive rare mod, that way you'll never ever drop it.

OP is right, the only way to really be sure is to open the mod. Screws in the 510 always scare me, that means usually the 510 is not locked to the mod with a nut, which IMO is how every mod should be built. Some of the worst 510s I've owned had screw holes in the 510 plate, with two or three small screws holding in plastic (metal is better, but would require tapping to get threads for a screw to go into.) 510s like this don't last long usually, and rda users like me often get a surprise when pulling off RDA caps - the entire 510 moving, stripping threads, or becoming dislocated.

Most aftermarket 510 are built correctly...the 510 neck is threaded and is locked down by tightening a large nut inside the mod. This is preferred, and will never come lose, as long as it is properly tightened. I have seen a couple mods that combined screws as well, but it's not needed and rare, though secure as hell...

...and then we have everything else...garbage, all of them. One post even mentioned "press fit" 510s....God, I hope not, but if it is, be careful!

That's usually a good trick when the screw hole is merely stripped, but at least one has vertical split cracks. This dowel rod method will only obliterate what's left of it as soon as you screw into the wood.

Epoxy to reconstruct it, then drill/tap it will be a better solution, but not permanent, especially if you are constantly making your mods fall over on your desk. But could get another 6-12 months out of it.

I originally planned on buying that mod, I always love the "heavy duty" mods....but then I discovered that the Swag PX80 had no Boost chip, and tapped out at 4 volts, roughly. I've heard this is the same, maybe you know? Does anyone own this and wanna run a few tests?

For what I getting fast on google is testet 7.153V and it make sense don't think the AXON 2.0 chip comes without boost.

No I don't own it.
But:
Testing on this mod was done with Sony VTC5A batteries. For listed specs, I could only find max watts which was 80. I wish they would list all three (watts, volts, and amps). Just listing watts is kind of short-selling themselves, as their specs are great.

During my testing, the max achieved wattage was 83, so a good rating at 80 watts on this device. The amp limit I got was 29, which is average for a single-battery mod these days. The average is around 30 give or take a couple of amps. The volt limit I got with a 0.62-ohm coil was 7.153 volts, which is great and shows it has a boost circuit like all single battery mods should. The mod adjusts in 0.5-watt increments which is great. Glad they did away with the 0.1 increments.

Vaping360.com

But I know about the drama on the Swag PX so can't see them doing that twice when they kind of had the chip.

Yeah, the Hobby community isn't buying regulated mods just to have basically a mech, lol. Vaping 360 is reputable enough...the full output voltage should be around 9 volts. Really like the looks of the Forz, but no longer need any mod at this time. Good choice for the OP, though!
