OP: A serious consideration to mull over is the wattage/build/resistance you normally vape at...for low to medium watts, say, 65-70 and under, a 21700 mod could be just what you need. If you vape even lower- say, under 50 watts, a single 18650 might be your cup o' tea.

Yeah, unfortunately, the Aegis series, while great for their purpose, are a bit bigger and heavier to allow the "industrial grade" rating...

Try looking at the Hugo Vapor mods. They are plastic and super light weight, and relatively reliable from my experience. I own 3 different products, all over 3 years old, and they all still work when I ask them to...

The RADER is Battlestar/Rigel shaped, and dual 18650. The URUS is single 21700/18650. They are available here I think, and under 30.00, roughly.

I'm purely mtl, 1.4-1.7 ohm, 8-12w. Doggystyle/Dvarw. Old school lol.

I've got a Hugo Vapor Boxer somewhere, think I bought it in 2017, Can't remember why I didn't take to it. Should probably dig it out and give it another go.

The URUS is pretty good, check it out....it has tons of 5 star reviews as well.,..I'd give mine 4 stars - it's good, light, solid, has a bright, clear screen, and the doors fit tightly. Much better, imo, than the RADER, overall.

Not the Solo.
It's very light and fits the hand beautifully.
My partner would only use the Tesla mod mentioned earlier but this Solo is one he is equally pleased with.

I purchased one and as light as it was it didn't last very long. Don't recall the model number but it was boxy. Too boxy and took 21700 batt.

** URUS - that was the one. Loved it then as 21700 was new but it was very cheap feeling and didn't last as long as it should have. Inexpensive though.

Also, the Rigel, though a Smok product, is quite good - very Battlestar-ish, which remains one of the best dual 18 mods ever made - especially when it was released. Smok catches a lot of flak from days long gone, but they are legit one of the most high quality mods currently made in China. I think it would surprise you, especially if you haven;t tried a Smok product in the last few years....there is a reason why they are number one in sales for 4 years running.

I would put their AEGIS-styled MAG P3 up against any of the current "tough" mods, and many videos seem to back me up. Take a close competitor from back in the day, Sigelei....they have gone in the exact opposite direction, putting out poorly made/ designed dual 18650 mods that have ruined the company, all in the same time period.

Hope you find something that suits you...IF you have the dough, there is a great sale on SXK/Ultroner's ALIENO in stabwood with a DNA60, OR the affordable but nearly as good Acrylic version with a 70 watt SEVO chip. My go-to mod for a super-slim 18650 mod.

I bring this up because they look great with Dvarws/ Doggies on top...I'll post a photo when I get home in a few...just to give you an idea.

I dont really get why you need a dual 18650 or 21700 mod if you vape 8-12w. Every pico, swag styled mod with a 30q battery should last you more than a day.
We can't agree on everything.

Fair question.
It's mostly because I recreationally thru-hike as the Americans like to call it. The longest so far was 62 days. Sometimes you go 5 - 10 days without having access to mains electricity. I have 2 10000mah powerbanks (Nitecore NB10000 - 150g each!) but I prefer to use them for my phone/gps/flashlight. So if I take a 2x18650 mod(or a single if I know re-supply points aren't going to be far apart) and use it at low watts it can easily last without needing charging.
I'm not getting any younger so the less weight I carry, the further I can hike.
Low weight vape setups are significantly cheaper than dyneema tents and high cuin down though!

Keep in mind that Molicall M50A 21700 cells are 5000 mah, the exact same as two Samsung 25Rs! While I think a single 18650 won't be for you (bye, Alieno, lol), possibly a single 21700 could "lighten your load"

The smallest single 21700 mod I own is SXK SLGT (also on sale with only a 70 watt Sevo), but honestly, for what you describe, I'd go URUS. It won't be a Ferrari, sure, but it will be a dependable VW Golf, ya know? lol.

I'd be happy with a Fiat 500 tbh...

I've just checked the Molicel website and the M50A weighs 70g.
2x25r = 88g. So a Vapor Storm Puma 200W + 2x25r = 160g
Urus + 1xM50A = 153g
Nothing in it really. I'll order one anyway and if it feels better in the hand I'll use it. Thanks.

Teslacigs should do another Wye that takes a single 21700.

Yes, Tesla should. Light-weight plastic/nylon mods are the future, and it's hard to go back to carrying a zinc-coated alloy monster after a sub 200 gram set-up!

Good luck! I hope you'll let us know how you get on with the Puma and/or the Urus.

The Smok Rigel with two Samsung 30Q's outlasts the Urus with one Molicell M50A by one day.

A smaller, lighter VW mod with a similar shape as the Rigel is the Vaptio Capt'n for half the price but good luck finding one these days.
