I remember when in 2014 once I rebuild a protank coil with some wire I had in hand , it came out at .7ohm. Loved that vape =) (tiny air-holes though) Had even a dirt cheap EGO battery that could take it (no cut off) but it died on me after a couple of months ...no surprise hehe. Those were my quitting cigs set up, worked well though, you could find only those EGO kits here around 2013.
Probably could never return to those tiny holes but never got liking "power vape" either. It's just not for me, thick coils and loads watts to push. Not even a question of lungs, my throat doesn't like it.

My densest vape was dual 24G at around .3-.4ohm, or single at .4-.6ohm with 3mg nic. for some years.
Went some higher (.6-.9ohm) in the last years with the newer attys, as they were good at it, and if ever I chased anything, was silent vape ;-) I don't mind some noisier vape for some DL (except for hauling and whistling) but weirdly, when about DL, I like some restriction, also MTL on the very loose side.

Those small setups you have, have you tried 28G wire, 5-6 wraps and 1.5-1.8mm air-hole (intake) with them? It's a loose and crispy vape, so you wouldn't have to hold your draw back that much. Maybe... The 16mm Dvarws were the best candidates for it.
It works for me well, but seeing your habitual vape, maybe wouldn't for you. Yet to try. If ever... ;)

I might give that a whirl some time, 26G is the thinnest I have built with in a long time, but I might have some 28 around some place.

"Not even a question of lungs, my throat doesn't like it."

Eh, I don't know it does not bother my lungs or throat at all. I don't do the loud obnoxious cloud competition style of vaping. It's just a 1.5-ish to 3 second, medium pull, at 100-125 watts .3 to .26-ish builds usually. Kind of like taking half a deep breath in. I think that is part of it, the constant some what deep breaths in is relaxing.

In the beginning I did all the mtl stuff, and restricted direct lung. When I switched my nic way down my wattage seemed to go up, and it just stuck that way.

Vaping is great though, no wrong way to do it.

So I've just checked out with an order, including a couple of bits for wood working and with that green bubble. The last one.

Who will have it first, Ratty? :D (probably you)
