PROS
exterior coating
form factor
battery life
pass through
|
CONS
does not perform as good as a DNA20
buzzing noise
does not read resistance correctly
low resistance attys don't fire
|
I was looking at getting a genuine Hana Mod, when they first came out, however already having DNA20 and DNA30 devices I was not interested in paying to wait for one. But when this clone arrived on FT i decided to give it a go (my first cloned APV). My first impression was that i was quite impressed. The exterior finish is essentially flawless. I knew the form factor before i made the purchase, but i was also quite impressed by its small size. I also like that i can Inside the box is a little messy but i'm not planning on doing any work inside there (unless i have to change the LiPo).
My only issues with this mod are to do with the performance of the chip. first, the resistance reading of my attys is slightly off (0.3 Ohm higher than my other devices). this is not a huge deal, but if the resistance reading is off, i'm really not sure if the wattage is accurate. since the voltage is adjusted according to the resistance, it would lead me to believe that it delivering more wattage that what i have it set to. i'm not sure if this is due to the chip, or the continuity of the circuit. Second issue is that some of my lower resistance attys did not fire. and third issue is that ive heard some buzzing noises coming from the device (intermittently it seems) almost like some PWM. the noise seems to come and go. I'm also not sure if these problems with the chip are exclusive to my device or if the issues are consistent. I will probably be opening a service ticket to see what FT has to say about this.
Overall this is a decent device for the price. it really looks like the real thing. i'm not happy with its performance but it is size and build quality make it somewhat useful.

PROS
Overall value
Power
Relatively small
Mostly good quality
Good design
Evolv DNA
|
CONS
Fire button feels cheap and a bit sticky
Screen seems dimmer than my other DNA mods
|
Got this device to be used mostly as a home setup. Really glad I pulled the trigger when I did as it seems this mod is now discontinued. Overall it’s a really quality device. 3 batteries with the Evolv DNA 250C provides outstanding battery life and a ton of power. Overall the design is great and the mod is relatively small for being a 3 battery device. My biggest problem with the device is the fire button, it can be a bit sticky when pressed from some angles. All the buttons work properly and provide tactile feedback, however the quality of them could have been better. I also noticed that the screen is dimmer and less vibrant than my other DNA color mods, probably due to the screen cover. Overall a really good product, the performance of this chip can’t be beat.

PROS
small
well built
simple to use
fit my 22mm atomizers perfectly
|
CONS
Sticker/buttons are a little cheap feeling
|
I bought this mod to replace an eVic Basic which i lost. This mod is small and exactly what i wanted. it is much better than the eVic. When i'm out of the house i don't like to carry large mods. I want something that can fit in my pocket or in my backpack and this mod is exactly what i hoped it would be. The build quality is quite nice. The carbon fiber stick has some grip, and i really like the position of the finger/thumb rest, it allows me to get some leverage on the mod and is very functional. The buttons and the sticker are a little cheap feeling and the paint will probably chip off, but for the price that is to be expected. the board seems to be performing perfectly and at 30W the battery lasts a while. I can't think of many cons. my attys all fit perfectly and the mod just works. This it is smaller than i thought it would be. I do not use it in temperature control mode because for me this is mostly a stealth little setup that i am using with a Smok Spirals tank or a single coil RTA (like the Serpent Mini). This thing is tiny.
