PROS
Works, to a degree
|
CONS
Very soft steel
Anything below 20g left impressions in the blade...for you fellas that like to build Claptons or twisted wire, you might want to check out something better.
|
I tried to cut a rather dense Clapton coil with these and not only did it not cut it, but the blades actually slid apart enough to bend them back, thereby rendering them useless.

PROS
It looks decent
|
CONS
Post hole is not drilled and threaded properly
|
The moment I took it out, I had a screw fall out onto the floor while removing the top cap, so after retrieving it I went to screw it into the post and the screw head twisted right off inside the post. I would do the work, but I'm just going to return it for a refund.

PROS
Just as good as the authentic
Engravings/coating are top notch
Stuck with the original 510 pin design even though VC includes the solid 510 with the authentic. Grub screws under the deck.
Real Ultem under the topcap
|
CONS
None
|
I own 5 of these now, including the Niflheim Valhalla 40mm, the 30MM Asgard and this will b my 3rd Asgard mini..the only one that's actually a clone. Other than the edge around the topcap not being ever so slightly rounded, it's spot on. That and the authentics come in color coordinated velvet bags.
I'm a huge fan of VC products, but they're not cheap considering that I own 3 HOGS, all custom made. At least this takes some of the sting out of the money hand.

PROS
Very good quality and machining
|
CONS
Flavor is not on par for an MTL, even with a Coilolgy MTL fused clapton and the separately purchased tightened airflow inserts
|
Being a squonk mod user, this poor fella had serious competition and I already own a few MTL's, so I had a pretty good baseline of what I should expect going in, but I have to be honest... I'm kind of disappointed in it. I tried a few different coil configurations and three or four types of juice but the flavor is always too muted. My favorite to date is the Augvape Merlin Mini MTL and the flavor from that actually crushes the Hussar. A buddy of mine is interested in trying it out so I'm going to pass it off to him.

PROS
Flavor
Finish
Solid construction
Finish quality
Airflow
Condutivity
|
CONS
Very fiddly, but worth it in the end.
Mouthpiece gets hot even on higher ohm builds.
|
Got it, cleaned it up and dropped a 26g/7 wrap build on it and thought "meh". Pulled it out and did 24g/9 wraps @ 40 watts...perfect and the flavor is fantastic.
The build quality is impressive and everything that I received was flawless. Once you manage to get the build aspect down, it's simple, but regardless of how adept you get, you will still have to go through the same processes of screwing the deck to the base, capturing your leads properly and tweaking the coils in the direction of the airflow and wicking it with lengths of cotton that rival that of a Rastafarian hair doo.
Other than that, she's got my green light.
